The hotel had a brand new room that was very comfortable and clean. The location was great, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle and close to the bus stops for Taganga and Tayrona. there were plenty of restaurants and a supermarket nearby.

I had to wait until the 3pm check-in time despite arriving at 1pm, which was a bit frustrating. The kitchen was not fully equipped as advertised, lacking a kettle and a way to light the hob.

The rooftop pool, convenient location, friendly staff, good wifi, clean and spacious rooms.

Stayed in a dorm and later a private room, both were nice. Loved the two pools, especially the one on the rooftop with a bar. The fresh fruit at breakfast was amazing! I would recommend this hostel.

I had an amazing experience at Masaya in Santa Marta! The cleanliness of the hostel was exceptional, and the layout created a great atmosphere for socializing. The reception staff greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. Whether I wanted a quiet moment or a fun time with others, there were plenty of areas to relax and chill. The rooftop pool was definitely a highlight and provided a refreshing escape from the city streets. Perfect for solo travelers, groups, or families with a variety of room options available. I highly recommend this hostel for a fantastic stay in Santa Marta.

I should mention there were a few drawbacks, such as the small storage space in the rooms and the limited availability of warm water. However, these minor issues did not significantly impact my overall experience.

As adventure travelers, we loved the variety of activities offered at the hostel. the rooftop café bar with live music was a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. We also enjoyed the pool table and chill-out area for some downtime. the two small pools were perfect for cooling off, and there were plenty of places to hang out around the hostel. the hostel's central location made it convenient to explore the city.

We felt quite safe during our stay and the staff were always available to assist us with anything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

masaya santa marta was even better than my previous stay in santa marta. the rooftop with the bar, hangout areas, and pool was simply amazing, especially during the evening. the dorm had privacy curtains, nightlights, and power sockets at each bed. breakfast was delicious, although not included in the price.

We had an amazing stay at this centrally located hostel in Santa Marta. The historic building has been beautifully restored, and it offers a unique and charming atmosphere. The two pools and rooftop bar/restaurant with live music were fantastic additions. The staff was always friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. we highly recommend this hostel for a memorable stay in Santa Marta.

The pool was a great place to relax after the lost city trek, and the rooftop area was also nice for chilling and enjoying a drink. the location was central, making it easy to find restaurants and book activities. the staff was helpful and friendly, making my stay more enjoyable.

The dorms were not the best, with some lockers not working properly and a lack of attention from the staff to fix the issues. There was also some noise from late-night parties, which may disturb those wanting a quiet night's rest.

The location of the hotel is great for those planning day trips, but not ideal for spending a long time exploring the area. the private rooms are spacious with efficient AC and the pools, especially the one downstairs, are impressive. the small activities organized each night are a great way to meet people, and the breakfast offers good value with a wide variety of options.

The check-in time of 3pm is quite late, but luckily guests can relax by the pool while waiting.

Convenient location in the heart of the city, great for exploring. The rooftop bar and pool had a fun vibe and the views were beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The common area was nice and cozy, perfect for relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was abundant.

The air conditioning in the dorms was not very effective, it was still quite warm inside. Some of the seating on the roof was broken.
